I AM... Impatient and Constantly Counting
I am impatient and constantly counting the days til camp.
I wonder how many days there are til summer.
I hear my friends tell me to stop talking about camp, but
I see the green hills & red buildings of ILC.
I want it to be summer already.
I am impatient and constantly counting the days til camp.
I pretend I don’t know exactly how many days are left til camp.
I feel anxious with all this counting.
I touch the daily countdown app on my iPod to see the number of days.
I worry that I won’t be able to wait that long.
I cry at the end of the summer when the countdown restarts.
I am impatient and constantly counting the days til camp.
I understand that it’s crazy to be this impatient.
I say the number in my head over and over again.
I dream about the day when I finally arrive.
I try to forget about camp for a little while.
I hope the days will keep flying by til its summer.
I am impatient and constantly counting the days til camp.
