Understanding
The trees stood strong like massive unmovable pillars,
sunlight rained like golden droplets through the trees,
the forest is filled with din,
I could sense life,
leaves rustled,
everything had a rhythm,
even if I didn’t see life I felt it,
I know I should’ve turned back right there,
but I felt at ease here in this enchanted place,
I wandered aimlessly for hours,
then I was lost,
I drifted in circles,
I stumbled into a space,
the sun was just falling into the treetops,
it’s last rays streaming through the massive trunks,
I didn’t know what to do,
while I was crying,
I felt a presence spying,
I looked up and I stopped,
while I stood with my face ashen,
a wolf stood there,
what will I do?
will this be my end?
tales of girls in red hoods and three pigs bashed at my head,
I didn’t move I barely breathed,
we both stood there as if captured in a spell,
the wolf stood there piercing my soul without it’s gaze faltering,
it stood like a statue,
it’s magnificent form was solid,
it was clearly filled with unmovable pride,
the sun outlined the beast in a golden radiance,
it backed away and slowly pointed it’s face in a direction,
I had a feeling it was showing me the way back,
I inched away and went the way I was shown,
as I walked back I felt it’s eyes never leave my back,
now I had an understanding of this feared animal.

Anyway, this poem is so true. Sometimes, the ones who are called idiots are the ones who really know what's happening... :)
