Truth
Truth haunts
and hurts
and breaks your heart
but opens doors that bring forth light.
Your eyes, they haunt
and hurt, and break
but in them all I see is life.
Life that's lived with hope undaunted
Truth revealed though words so haunted
You were true, my heart was shallow
still you spoke with certainty.
My eyes were closed,
My ears, not hearing
but still you spoke your truth,
not fearing that I would break
beneath your touch
of spoken truth, and in your truth
I saw my life
with you in me
And I in you.
