&quot;I have a life. I just choose to ignore it.&quot;<br /> -one of my friends

Twice entwined,
Eyes of black,
And hearts that shine.

Weak they are apart,
Combined they have the strength,
To withstand the greatest attempts to thwart.

A bond unbreakable,
Not of siblings,
But of distant blood unshakeable.

Thrice they shall be tested,
Once by man with heart of beast,
Once by a truest friend never bested,
And once by a tempest from the east.

In the end,
They must stand together,
Or to the will of enemies,
They shall bend.

Eyes that meet,
Hearts that touch,
Together never in retreat.

Date of birth the same,
Destinies entwined,
To win this frightful game.

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem with the thought of a prophecy in mind. It would work well as a beginning to a story or novel. The inspiration fror this poem came from my cousin Riley. We share the exact same birthday, and are distant cousins.

The meaning of life is a question that you have already answered.

This sounds like a great book! Unless it is a more pbeat story i would suggest making it have a sad ending. I think it would make a great ending.

Wow, this really sounds like an amazing prophecy!  You should really write a book based on it.  I would definitely read it!

In regards to the poem, it was excellent.  The rhythm was good and you kept the stanzas relatively consistent.  Excellent work!

I have to say, I'm in agreement with Garnet! Write a book, short story, novella based on this, anything! This was very good :) It was interesting without being confusing!
