The lone tree
Sitting on the hill
Who is its friend
No one can tell
Others sit and wonder
But no ones to say
Who went up
To it that day
If someone had done
What it so had wished
It would still be here
And not as missed
No one can change the past
Only what lies ahead
But what would have happened
If it hadn’t laid down in its bed
