Pink Satin

Dancer,
twirling and leaping
to the beat of the music.
Her body filled to rim with joy,
exhilaration, almost overwhelming
Her life may be full of sadness,
stress,
tragedies.
However, when she puts on her satin, pink pointe shoes
it is somehow, forgotten.
In a single pirouette her body melts to a creamy, pink.
She molds to the shape of her bliss,
her contentment.
More delicate then a fluffy, velvety cloud in a turquoise sky.
Still, she twirls and leaps with thrill.
