Doorway
Standing in this hallway
A lot of ways away
I look to the pictures on each door
And don't know what to say
Three good pictures
Three good friends
When did I have friends?
When did I ever have them?
I want to walk in
Through one of those doors
Three friends, one that I'd die for
i want to walk in
So unprepared for what I see
At each door, a gunshot hit me
As I go toward the floor
I wish why I couldn't have learned more
In a flash of time
I'm resting in that doorway
Sitting in that hallway
With so many things and two words I'd rather not think or say
So still I'm standing here in that doorway...
