What A Way
My blood pumps in a quick indescribable way.
Neurons in my brain spark creating a path to the straight and narrow way.
Hair rises and falls making small pocket of warm air.
When you speak my heart thump-thumps the wrong way.
My hands shake and can’t stay still.
I glance and see you walking a way.
Your shoulders wide and stride smooth.
I avert my eyes and look the other way.
You make my brain swell and heart weak but this love is meek.
I know you don’t love me the same way.
