As the last beam of sunlight fades from the horizon,
Night awakes.
Humans are hushed, resting in deep slumber,
As an unknown world comes to life.
The beaming moon and glistening stars,
reflect on tiny dew drops of the grass.
The wind blows and whistles,
sending a chilly breeze across the fields.
Night creatures creep out of their burrows,
awakening to the moonrise.
Owls spy atop mossy tree branches,
seeking out their juicy prey.
For mankind, night is just a time of rest.
But to other species, it is a life of exciting adventure.

As the day darkens,
Night awakes.
