What Christmas Is Really About
Merry Christmas you say?
What is Christmas anyway?
Isn't it about Santa, and the reindeer pulling his sleigh?
No that's not what it's about.
Christmas is about what the angels shout.
About baby Jesus there is no doubt.
It's about the shepherds who came,
Searching and seeking not for fame,
But for a baby boy, not even a dame.
Also the Wise Men, the kings from the East,
Who chose to give Jesus, not of their least,
But of riches and glory, not some dirty beast.
But Christmas is about gifts,
Our Christmas wish lists,
About winter snow shower mists.
Or am I wrong, is it about the Lord?
The boy who came to save the world,
Our sins far away he stored.
He came, lived a life, and died.
For to, our sins away, guide.
For those in disbelief he cried.
