The Fear
The fear builds up inside
Until all you want to do is hide.
With all the fear, there is no more pride.
And you walk away with a slump in your stride.
You know you shouldn’t feel this fear,
But the little voice in your head is all you hear.
It yells that if you so much as shed a tear,
From the inside out the fear shall seer.
Deep in your bones, you know it is not right.
You know it should not be feared merely at the sight.
They scream at you that this is a fear you must fight,
So you battle through a seemingly endless night.
