Me and the other girl
When I look in the mirror it’s the same face
The same eyes, the same smile, but that’s the case.
How can I be that same girl?
We’re not alike in anyway
She’s soft and sweet I’m loud
We’re as different as night and day.
You only like one half of who I am
But which half is really me?
I like who she is but there’s so much more I can be
Trying to see my own face in the reflection, She’s cool but she’s not who I am
I’m somebody different and that’s what I don’t understand.
When I look in the mirror it’s the same face
The same eyes, the same smile, but that’s the case.
How can I be that same girl?
We’re not alike in anyway
She’s soft and sweet I’m loud
We’re as different as night and day.
I’m going to find who I really am.
I’ll work to see the truth behind the lies.
And one day I’ll see the real me in that mirror and just like a phoenix, I’ll rise
You’ll see all of the real me. And nobody will say it’s not your turn.
Everybody will understand. And we’ll all have learned.
