He is a Gift
He is a gift, bestowed upon those who know him.
His footsteps mingle with the halo above his head.
He resides on right shoulders, whispering holy words.
But he is man nonetheless, and so fell one, fell all.
He falls off the shoulders, no longer giant in heart as he once was.
Tumbling.
Fumbling.
Sinning.
He is Judas, he is Lucifer, he is Cain.
Sinister smiles and dark intentions hang innocence, taking root upon the land of his heart.
Wings clipped, he is a cropped Samson.
Changed.
Useless.
Chained.
Once great the king of Babylon was, writings on the wall predicted his fall.
With a strong hand and an outstretched arm, he reaches for the righteous path.
Reflections mirror his mistakes; imagine a fun-house making missteps multiply before his morose eyes.
Masks fasten upon faces, hiding intentions, starving emotions, feeding sin.
Who can deny merry making, and contain themselves with a pen?
The circus is in town, come one, come all! Fell one, fell all!
He walks through the circus, but oh! Why did Lot’s wife look back?
“Why can’t I enjoy myself one more time?
I who have done much, do I not deserve relief?”
With a strong hand and an outstretched arm, he reaches for the righteous path.
His closed eyes stay shut, black with the blemishes of his actions.
However, time heals all wounds and your Lord is forgiving towards all, merciful towards all.
In the darkness begets light.
In seas of despair,
When the plague of darkness sets,
When pure water becomes adulterated,
When frogs bare not royalty that is fine,
When flies set upon the heads of swine,
When locusts descend upon your good earth,
When hail rains upon the day of your birth,
When boils strike you heatedly,
Remember Jonah, Aaron, Moses, Job.
Eyes open with fire like that of foliage set ablaze in holy caves.
Throw down thy rod, and cast away the falsehoods they have raised up.
Become cured of your blindness.
With a strong hand and an outstretched arm, he reaches for the righteous path.
With the might of David and wisdom of Solomon,
He rises and reminds himself of his past self.
The hat of a clown rests like a crown of thorns.
Become the prodigal son, and return in humbleness.
Resort to the sanctuary of solitude to improve your fortitude.
So he did, and so he became.
Calm the storm in your heart and mind.
The mind.
The mind.
Feed 5000 by feeding your mind.
Withered hands become healed,
For the purpose of planting good.
With a strong hand and an outstretched arm, he reaches for the righteous path.
Climb back up to high shoulders.
Hester’s letter did take not words out of her mouth.
Nor life out of her being.
Cast not your Pearl before swine.
Thus he returns to right shoulders.
Scars are reminders of past mistakes.
To avoid future ones.
With a strong hand and an outstretched arm, he reached for the righteous path.
