Ode to my Father
Kim-il Sung was good at hiding
He was great at stories
& great at lieing
He created his state
Obidient, yet famished
& kept his reign
After he vanished.
You & him are quite the same
You played my mom
Just like a game.
As she cried,
I recorded.
Your secrets cannot
Be distorted.
Unlike Sung, you aren't divine
To the fragile eyes
Of your child's mind.
I held my ground,
But not my tounge.
It didn't matter
I was "Too young"
You broke my mother,
But know that I
Will never fall
Into your lies.
