Memories
Moments and memories seem so faraway
I’m counting the times I said your name on this sad day
Sometimes my lips barley make a sound
And sometimes I’m so loud my mama turns around
The car drive is long and terrible as my thoughts swarm my head
I’m counting the seconds down to that day when they said you were dead
Make me believe I want to believe so bad
I look worn and broken spent and had
I want this to all just be a dream
But god it may seem
Is faraway
On this sad day.
