If I could control
The ticking hands of time
I know what I would do
With these hands of mine
I’d command them to stop
Freeze in that second
A moment made eternal
When I held your hand
Cease movement forward
When I was in your embrace
The warmth of your body
Making my heart race
Go back to the time
When your heart belonged to me
Before you disappeared
Before I cried a sea
So if I could, I’d stop
These ticking hands of time
You’ll never run away
You’ll be forever mine
