Cursed Wings
While folded in my arms
You're like a butterfly in reverse
Wings becoming molded
It's like your inheriting my curse
Although I tell you every day
You keep saying it's not true
So then I look into your heart
And say, "It's inside of you."
I can see the fissures forming
Opening up a chasm
In the back of my mind I knew
The damage was worse than i could fathom.
So one day I will leave you
And hope that you will see
That you deserve so much more
Than little old broken me.
