As they go around making sure that all the safety restraints are tight
The tension rises into your body
The butterflies appear in your belly
The operator says “on the count of three”
“One, tw…” he hits the button and you are off
From 0 to 70 in four seconds
You go left
Down underground
Up and you are upside-down
The light flashes
You make a funny face
Or if you can’t you just freak out
Left
Right
Up
Stop
Do it all again.
Backwards
