One More Glass
Here it is
Let’s raise our glasses
Because we’ve fallen in
And can’t see this through
I heard someone said
This place was safe to go
When you work this hard
And hurt as much as we do
We took it bad
When we loved and had no escape
Our hearts they thought they were worth it to break
And at least there’s nothing left to prove
No one guessed
We’d lose the first round
And fight to fail in the end
And I suppose one just shouldn’t assume.
You expect
To fall sometimes when you’re fighting for the truth
And giving without ever taking
And still, I did it all for you.
Here it is
Drink one last glass
And fall right in
And it seems there’s nothing left to lose.
