Love
i see black and white pictures scattered across my bedroom floor;
there are clothes strewn across my floor from my window to my door.
i see images of last summer hung upon the wall
there are leaves still laying in my yard, in memory of last fall.
i see your face floating above mine; with that 'kiss me' look on your face.
but i know that if i do, i'm giving in. so i look away and wait.
you smile with confidence knowing you win.
i mouth 'i love you' with a revengeful grin.
we're running through the daisies playing tag like we are young.
thinking this is only the beginning; summers only begun.
i feel this connection from the tips of your fingers to mine;
this connection we share is worth my wasted time
