A Bad Generation
What are we becoming?
Our nature that everyone fears
Is beginning to show
Through the cracks
Of our pretend selves.
The violence gets worse everyday
Deaths of innocent people
Shown every night
On the six o’clock news
They shake their heads and sigh
At the new generation
Not wanting to believe that
Our faults come from them
How do they expect us to grow up
in this horrible world
Love is only an illusion
That fades fainter
With every passing day
What’s left to believe in anymore?
