Small Annoyances
I used to think that
Haikus weren’t really that hard
But I’ve changed my mind
I used to think that
All you had to do was write
Poems about nature
And I never knew
That the whole syllable thing
Is so annoying
But now it bugs me
Because I am trapped by all
These rules about form
Five syllables here
And then only seven here
Then five again here
So just to rebel
I’m going to put EIGHT syllables
In that line. So there.
