In the Midst of a Crowd
In the midst of a crowd is my lone face.
You will not be able to pick it out,
So I will wait until after your race.
We know you will win we are without doubt.
When I hear the crowd cheer I know youv'e won.
I make my way to where you stand so proud.
All I can wonder is when you'll be done.
You see me and pull away from the crowd.
The expression on your face is a smile.
What a shock when you give a simple kiss.
I forget your praise on the quarter mile.
We are both forgotten inside the bliss.
I know the words you say are not untrue,
they are nothing other than "I love you."
