Story Behind Her Eyes
Terror in my Eyes
you see it don’t you?
Running far but never near
No trust
to get close.
No
not anymore
I’m grown
and now you tell me
what I don’t wish to hear—
“my father” You speak quietly….
No thought, No time
Bellow as I may
I Feel --- for my father
Please,
Please tell me.
I want to know
Your stare gives me such blank thought
I scream, hot pepper in the face
Finally
she sighs
and
the lips mouth
the letters, forming words.
Y-y-your fathe-r-r
Swells begin
her eyes bleeding water
Then the soaked lips begin to move
has p-past-------
Blinking once
Blink twice.
Scattered leaves cluttering my brain
Now my eyes start to bleed
Bleeding all the same
as hers----
They race across my face
as I furiously round across the
door
towards the abyss of woods
before me
my
new
life
awaits
