Heartache
Tell me,
 Where is heartache bred?
 In the heart,
 Or in the head?

 Do we only think
 We love?
 Or is it some amusement
 Designed by Above?

 And if this feeling
 Doesn’t even exist,
 What’s the point
 Of being hurt
 By a kiss?

 All that anger,
 Hurt and confusion.
 Is it, all of it,
 But an illusion?

 Here I shall stop
 This rhetorical mess,
 Before all my twisted thoughts
 I slip and confess.

 Some call my cynic,
 My ideas fatal blunder.
 But even while ranting,
 They can’t help but wonder…

 Tell me,
 Where is heartache bred?
 In the heart,
 Or in the head?
