Paradise?
The sky’s raining rocks
And as my Despair
Marries Fear,
My heart asks my head
If we should be here.
I don’t know what this place
Has become,
My paradise once,
But now the magic’s undone.
I must leave now,
Before the sky hits my head.
But the sweet memories, unreachable,
Keep my feet rooted in lead.
There’s nothing more I can do,
Why should I run?
So I sink to the ground,
To turn away from the sun.
With jagged rocks murdering
The innocent ground,
I hide in plain sight,
Never again to be found.
