Overriding the Beauty by Kaleigh Kenny
Dark blanket above sets in the sky.
 Tip-toeing slowly; the itchy algid feeling at my feet.
 Transition to a chilled texture;
 granular pieces fill the empty holes like past happenings in your memory.
 Peer up at the vast perplexity forever in my mind--
 salt speckled sky behind a backdrop of mystery

 Each gleaming story represents a different emotion:
 de-blanket the beauty, bare the truth.
 I ask, what is the truth?

 Peering up, almighty Apollo observing the inquisitive mind I possess.
 The marvel above embraced by observers below--
 controversial thoughts.
