All of My Lights
I fly above like a plane(Simile)
Yet do not move without the wind
Click! as it moves color to color(Onomatopoeia)
I light up like a firefly(Personify)
As I sit here I move the world around(Assonance)
I am the one
If I was not here chaos would be all around
Moving and grooving is my game
Yet I am so simply
I am a street light
Shouting and screaming at people when to move and not to
My own purpose is to make sure everyone is safe
My job is done easily
Green, yellow, red is the pattern I follow
yet people think I am just a machine
Can a machine with stand horrible weather conditions
No only a living thing that has heart and passion for what they do
I believe I have not even worked a day yet in my long life
Since I love what I do
Crick and crack snap smash as I fall(Consonance)
I have failed my brothers and sisters
Yet only the strongest storm brought me down
As I blink for once more I laugh
That humans trust a simple thing such as me to run their lives
To determine how long they must wait
And how much life will be wasted
