You Left Me To Fall
You spoke the words,
and as I felt myself fall,
there wasn't a person in sight,
not a hand to hold at all.
I felt as if I'd broken,
like my shattered heart was dust,
and that's when you ran in the other direction,
leaving me without a person to trust.
So I let the tears flow,
let them fall down my cheeks,
and when I think of how you left me,
I wish I hadn't wasted my time,
falling for you,
falling for such a time.
I'll never grow to forgive you,
when I try I remember that night,
you left me all to my lonesome,
when you knew that I would fall.
