I Could Be...
I am just an outcast girl
Nonconforming, maybe so
But it doesn't really matter,
Coz no one really knows.
Or
I'm just that whiny little spoiled girl
Who always gets her way
'She's just selfish, she's just bossy'
Is what they all do say.
I'd even be that preppy girl
Who thinks she knows what's best
She bears a shell of security
But when you break through
She's depressed.
I could be that freaky girl
Who's style scares you away.
She wonders why you never learn
That it's all for display.
I could be the dorky girl
Who knows paragraphs of pi,
And if you ask why pollution kills
She explains scientifically why.
I might be the depressed girl
Who cuts herself to feel
Or the anorexic one
Who misses every meal.
But those are only labels
And when you open up the jar,
You realize there's something more
And you've been all wrong so far.
