Daddy's Eyes
I look in to see my reflection,
Shadowed by the things surrounding me.
Seeing my long hair,
Getting shorter as I grow;
Only to find me still his little girl.
He sees my big blue bug eyes,
Looking up to him.
Seeing his almost bald head,
Dark tan skin
And
Big strong arms reaching out to me.
Only to find I have grown up,
From a baby to a teenager,
But I say,
“Daddy, I am still your little girl.”
