What You Want
Baby, I’m sorry if I ever hurt you,
Baby, I apologize if you are blue,
I hope your life becomes everything you want it to,
I promise never to cry in front of you.
I’m still learning how to trust,
I would have done anything for us,
But I’m not even going to put up a fuss.
If you wanna go,
There is no way I would hold you back so,
I can’t tell you no.
We both know what people said,
I guess they were right inside their head,
Look at how many tears we have both shed.
I can’t even say I love you,
Even if it’s true,
For there is a chance I could hurt you,
And that I could never do.
There are days I’m sorry that you ever met me,
So I guess a friend is what you want me to be,
Yeah even to help you off your knees,
Unless that is not what you desire for me to be,
Then I guess I’ll just leave.
