Hold On
I'm hanging off a cliff,
barely holding on.
As I'm hanging there
I wonder when help will come.
I hear a voice in my head say,
"Just hold on."
After awhile I start to wonder,
maybe help will never come.
I've been here so long,
barely holding on.
While barely holding on,
I shout, "Over here."
A minute longer
and I would be gone.
Where would I be,
up or down,
if I hadn't held on?
I now realize,
how wrong I was
about God,
until that moment
I was barely holding on.
