Reminder

From dust to dawn
even when im gone
you are my mother
and are job is to protect eachother

so even though im not here
mommy, please dont fear
for i am in your hear telling you to be strong
and not do anything wrong

you are smart, you will pull though
because i have faith in you
you mean everything to me
and no matter what thats how it will always be

every night i pray for you
telling god to help you through
even though you have turnt to some wrong things
i beliven you, i trust you, i love you,and i will always be there for you

The story behind my poem.

This poem is about my mom. when i was very young my mom abandond me because she had very bad drug adictions. i didnt know my mother was even alive till the summer of 2006 when i read about her going to jail. i finaly started socializing with my mother when i was 14 she when into drug recovery therapy .. to this day she tells me im the only reason keeping her from doing it. i had to go away for the summer this year so i wrote her this to give her strang and to know im still there and how much i care :)<3
it worked it helped her through the summer.

i hope the reader gets that no matter what happends not matter how much they have hurt you. it just hurts you and the other person to hold on to the grudge, see i let go of my grudge and i forgave my mother and got her help and continue to help her.
my favore line is " You are my mother and our job is to protect eachother." i love it , it is so true !

This poem is truly incredible. The emotion and strength behind the lines and letters shines through and speaks to the reader. Keep writing.

this poem was amazing it hits your really strong i know how she feels and it tells the people for people who have struggling parents to be strong and they have better things in life
