Silver Memories
I never thought the end would come so soon. I remember the times we would hold hands and watch our future drawn out in front of us, the sun melting into the horizon.
My love for you was stronger than the pain, and I thought it would keep me alive.
The day you left tore me apart, my broken limbs splayed across the state. I needed you to survive, my only drug, my only light.
Now as I watch the memories being played in the golden valley of the past, I hold close the times we had, and forget my future of regret.
