Trick, not Treat
The ghouls lined up
In an innocent straight line
I grabbed my candy cup
While wishing to resign
I opened the door
And beheld silence complete
That which had been here before,
I wasn't able to greet
I stuck out my head
And looked left and right
It appears these ghouls have fled
Maybe I gave them a fright
And as I turned inside to retire to bed,
A ghoul's cleaver came down on my head.
