A singer sings with his voice,
But a writer sings with her pen.
A singer tells his story through a song,
But a writer tells hers through a writing.
A singer has his spotlight on stage,
But a writer’s stage is the exact spot where she picks up her pen.
She gets her spotlight right then and there.
It’s her on the stage when people read her work,
And it’s her voice that they listen to.
