The Chasm
I am the Surgeon;
I ask, “what if my patient dies?”
I am the Builder;
I ask, “what if my tower falls?”
I am the Leader;
I ask, “what if my people do not follow?”
I am the Fireman;
I ask, “what if I cannot stop the fire?”
I am the Soldier;
I ask, “what if I lose the war?”
I am the Student;
I ask, “what if I fail?”
For one does not almost-Jump the Chasm.
Success and Failure ride down two paths;
I must be dragged through the mud to go down either.
