Don't Forget Me
No matter what I do, no matter what I say,
You’re always there to guide the way.
You know what’s right; you know what’s wrong,
You can talk with me for however long.
You’ve been there for me for as long as I know,
You’ve kept many secrets on the down-low.
This year’s gone by fast; it’s now all in the past.
So much has happened, in so little time.
My God this is hard, making poems rhyme,
But I’ll do it for you, just like anything else,
I’ll sing at your wedding, I’ll make your heart melt,
I’ll run away from home, I will build you a dome,
Just tell me your wish, yes anything you please.
Whisper it to the wind; pass it along by the breeze,
You can tell me whatever, whenever, wherever,
You can banish me forever, or never would be better.
You have been there for me, please let me be there for you.
You are my friend, for now and for later.
You deserve the best, not some ordinary hater.
I may not be bright, or beautiful, or best,
But I try to be nice, a little more than the rest.
I love you my friend, yes I love you so much.
Please don’t forget me, please keep in touch.
