Peace
Sometimes
Fear floods in with darkness
And can't be chased away by my alarm.
All day
It looks over my shoulder
Calls my cellphone from unknown numbers
Stops my heart
When I mistake
You laughing for you crying
But peace
Floats in
Dust dancing with the sun
And reminds me
That for all my marks and scars
The shapes I make
Are gentle
So I can roll with it.
