When the leaves dance down
When the heat fades away
My suitcase will soon fill
My room will become dense
I will experience new events
Mature to my choosing
As I grow, so will my dreams
I will strive for hope each day
The classes will change
My determination never will
My friends will change
Our friendships never will
The start of a new year
The start of a new me
A fresh beginning
No past--
No promise--
Just the future I create for myself.
