Destroyed City
shining lights
beam on the trashed streets
papers scattered everywhere,
with words printed,
every issue about a new tragedy.
crying faces,
lost money, friends and homes.
this is a place of darkness.
what has this place come to?
sharp objects lying free,
with harmful substances in possession;
lying in a place,
that was once called a playground.
cigarette smoke fills our lungs;
it flows through,
what was once called clean air.
what has this place come to?
broken glass
old food scraps
blood
and painted walls,
decorated out of mischief.
Vandalism, Stealing, Hurting others.
what was once called home,
is now a destroyed city.
