Girl with the wave
That day in the burning summer
Years back but I still remember
Every day we sneaked through the night
Even though it wasn’t right
To the river, our favorite place
We swam forgetting time and space
No one can be faithful forever
And so was the river
We splashed water and laughed through the night
For a moment everything was right
And then it happened so fast
And our happiness didn’t last
She was gone with the waves
To explore the seas
And was never seen again
These tears of ours joined the cruel rain
This at the age of five, and long before
And still the rest of us remember her
And the dried out river
Like it was yesterday...........
