Dance-floor Dreams
I want him to ask me
Up on the floor
To dance the night away.
I want him to take me
By the hand
And hold me in his arms and sway.
I want him to see me
Standing here
Looking for a reason to dance.
I want him to lead me
To the center
And give my two-step a chance.
I want him to come to me
Over on the wall
And ask if he can have the next song.
I want him to swing and twirl me
Around and around
I want to dance with him all night long.
