What we have
No love is perfect that’s for sure,
But what we have is pretty close.
We don’t have everything,
But what we have means the most.
What we have is what we need,
We don’t need anything more than that.
I have you,
You have me.
We have the kids;
We have the house,
We have everything we need.
We’ve taught our children to love,
Not hate.
We’ve taught them right from
Wrong.
There will be times they ask
To stay up late;
And we happily oblige, because we
Know they won’t stay home for long.
We never know how many years we’ll get
To spend upon this earth,
But no matter how many years I get
I’m glad I get to spend them with you.
What we have is far from perfect,
But to me what we have is wonder filled.
We ask very little from each other,
And what I ask of you, you do.
I absolutely love what you
And I have built.
We’ve had our ups and
Our downs.
But I would never take back
A single moment,
I don’t regret a single thing.
Because when I lay
My head at night, everything is nice and sound.
I love waking up each day
Not knowing what it will
Bring.
I love everything about
Us.
I love our quirks,
And out laughs we share.
I love all our
Trust.
But most of all I love
The situations we have to endure
And bear.
