Heroes
One day a person told me there were no heroes,
No knights in shining armor,
No magical fairies,
No fair princesses nor charming princes,
No angels soaring up above.
"None of these exist you fool! "
scream masses full of slander.
But the villians surround me
as the dragon roars.
And the cauldron's bubble
mixes with the cackle of a blackened soul;
while demons drag me toward the pit.
And still the crowds are disbelieving,
"Where is the good?",say they.
Good is in the poor who give.
Good is in the sad who smile.
Good is the bond of family.
Good is an infant's laugh.
Great is a child's wonder.
For through belief magic is real,
And through hope good prevails.
