The Ever Growing Stain
Pain is a given,
Yes, this is very true, but why?
It shows us that we are living,
That in the end, we’ll die,
People feel pain because they suffer,
If we stand here and think,
We form a mental buffer,
We play hockey on a melting rink.
This shows that after all the pain we feel,
We just won't let it go.
It floats around and haunts us.
We hide it yet we still know,
That it’s there to taunt us,
Just when we think we're free,
When we start to feel a slight glimpse of sanity,
It grabs us and stabs us over and over you see,
Don’t drown your beautiful world with rain,
Live on!
Forget the pain,
Before it forms a stain on what we call Humanity.
