Mechanical Love
I was born to die.
Like a spring flower
I bloom than wither.
But you will not die
Batteries can be replaced
And metal doesn’t bleed.
Life used to mean love
Represented by a heart
But I was wrong.
I found love with you
In your dead glass eyes and
Your cold metal touch.
Our love will last long
Longer than my life will.
I’ll die in your arms
But I’ll still exist
In your perfect memory
Until you shut down.
Eventually,
Your coding will fail.
Pixels will skitter before
Your perfect eyes.
You’ll find me in the blackness
