From the Dark
I heard your voice
Calling me from the darkness
Telling me that everything would be ok
Though in honest it wouldn’t
Everything was set in its ways
You were still the monster
That I so crudely knew you to be
But I still painfully opened my eyes
Blinking softly in the harsh light
My eyes meeting yours
With a sense of stoic reality
For this wasn’t the first
Nor would it be the last
You were my angel of demise
And this wasn’t the end
