*Frustrated That I Have to Have a Title*

So I could write a poem
if ever my endocrine system would give me a jolt
if inspiration weren't so elusive.
But that would be what Socrates calls
Imitation.
So, cursed as I am
lighthearted to the end
I'll have to write without hormones in my veins
Steroids for poets.
